Simon Cowell: "I Was Born to Be a Dad"

Simon Cowell has quickly adapted to fatherhood.

Less than a month after his girlfriend, Lauren Silverman, welcomed their son Eric, the former American Idol judge tells Extra that he was "born to be a dad."

Though he was hesitant at first, Cowell said that as soon as Eric was born, he knew everything would be OK. "I actually said to Lauren beforehand, 'What if I like the dogs more than him?' because I've never had a baby before, and she said, 'You're gonna be absolutely fine,'" he told the TV news show.

This is Cowell's first child and Silverman's second, though Cowell is open to the idea of expanding their family. "I wouldn't rule out [more children]," he said. "I had a brother when I was younger, so I kind of think it's cool to have two or three."
