The premiere of Penny Dreadful's second season has been delayed a week, Showtime announced Friday.

Previously scheduled to debut alongside the new comedy Happyish, starring Steve Coogan, on April 26, the gothic horror series will now premiere Sunday, May 3 at 10/9c.

When the show does return, expect to see Vanessa (Eva Green) and Ethan (Josh Hartnett) form a deeper bond as the group, which also includes Timothy Dalton's Sir Malcolm, Harry Treadaway's Dr. Frankenstein, and Danny Sapani's Sembene, unites to banish the evil that threatens to destroy them.
