Noel may not have been able to make it last with — 12-year-old spoiler alert! — Felicity, but apparently his friendship with Sean has stood the test of time.
Scott Foley and Greg Grunberg, who starred on Felicity together for four years, are teaming up with Foley's Scandal boss Shonda Rhimes for a new romantic comedy set up at ABC, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The network, which is also home to Scandal, has given a script commitment for To Max & Paige, a comedy that takes place over the course of Max and Paige's wedding rehearsal dinner. The project is similar to the final season of How I Met Your Mother, which took place in the weekend leading up to Robin and Barney's nuptials, and follows the couple's eclectic family and friends as they give toasts and tell funny stories about the bride and groom to be. However, flashbacks will reveal these toasts aren't always based on a true story as viewers see the true story of Max and Paige's road to marriage.
Foley will write the script and executive-produce with Grunberg, Rhimes, and Rhimes' producing partner, Betsy Beers.
Although he's currently best known for romancing Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) on Scandal, among other roles, Foley recently sold his feature-film writing and directing debut, titled Let's Kill Ward's Wife. All this, and he still has time to play with puppies shirtless to shill sheets!
Grunberg, meanwhile, most recently recurred on Masters of Sex and will next guest-star on CSI.
