If you want to maintain the image of Shirley Jones as the wholesome matriarch on The Partridge Family, you probably shouldn't pick up her new autobiography, Shirley Jones.

In the book, Jones, 79, goes into graphic detail about her marriage to late actor Jack Cassidy, whom she describes as a "sexual Svengali," The Associated Press reports. Among the exploits Jones describes are a threesome the couple engaged in with another woman ("yuck" is her reaction), as well as Cassidy's short-lived affair with Cole Porter before he married Jones.

Aside from the sexual content, Jones also recounts her experiences starring in such films as Oklahoma!, Elmer Gantry and Carousel, as well as on The Partridge Family.

The actress, who has been married to comedian Marty Ingels for 35 years, has apparently found the secret to maintaining passion and excitement in her relationships.

"Luckily, Marty thinks I've still got a beautiful body, even though it is old, and every now and again I take all of my clothes off in front of him and shake my [breasts] at him, and he loves it," she writes in the book, according to the AP.
