We Finally Know When Sherlock's Victorian Special Will Air

Sherlock is back!

A new 90-minute Sherlock special will premiere on Masterpiece! Mystery on New Year's Day, PBS announced on Saturday.

Sherlock: The Abominable Bride will mark the first time the series will debut a new installment in the U.S. and U.K. on the same day. (Please let this trend continue for Season 4!) The special will air on PBS on Friday, Jan. 1 at 9/8c and simultaneously will premiere online.

The special will bring Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Dr. Watson (Martin Freeman) back in time, to 1890s London, to investigate a new case. Amanda Abbington, Rupert Graves andUna Stubbs will also star.

The special can tide over Sherlock fans until Season 4, which is set to begin production next spring.
