90210 Star Shenae Grimes Denies Eating Disorder Rumors

Shenae Grimes is speaking out against the rumors that have been spread about her in the tabloids, particularly that she is thin because she has an eating disorder.
The 90210 star said the people spreading the rumors should ask her before believing what they read, according toPeople.
"Nobody has asked me about it," she said. "I really can't help what someone thinks of me because they are reading a paper and choosing to believe it."
The actress and her 90210 castmates were slammed for their thin frames almost instantly after the show's premiere, and rumors of eating disorders began swirling almost as quickly. Grimes, who denies having an eating disorder but says a close friend did struggle with one for years, compared the real-life scrutiny that has come with moving from Toronto to L.A. parallels the plight of her 90210 character.
"It was a huge culture shock," she said. "It's so frustrating. These are stories that have been written about everybody. Of course we're the new girls on a hit show, so we're plopped into these little boxes. And people buy it. It makes me totally second guess anything I've ever read about anybody."
Grimes claims she has been thin all her life and has never considered herself unhealthy.
"Meet me in person, and you can't say anything," she said. "Just because people are calling you skinny doesn't mean I'm like, 'Yay!' No! You're telling me I don't look right. This is me, this is my body — I have accepted it."
