Country music legend Shania Twain is on the search for the genre's next breakout star.

USA announced on Monday that Twain is set to co-headline Real Country, a singing competition series that will feature country artists battling it out until there's one surviving act. Helping her on this journey will be fellow big name country artist Jake Owens. In each episode, Twain and Owens will discover solo acts, duos and groups who will perform in weekly showcases that capture the heart and soul of country music.

Aspiring superstars will need to impress the "That Don't Impress Me Much" singer in order to reach the grand finale where a winner will be crowned. "I'm on a mission to find artists who will keep country music diverse and dynamic. The kind of diversity that inspired all of us." Twain said in a statement.

Details about the upcoming project are scarce but we do know its inaugural run will be made up of eight hour-long episodes. Twain is the latest country music artist to step into the reality competition game after Blake Shelton on NBC's The Voice and Luke Bryan on ABC's American Idolreboot.

Real Country arrives this fall on USA Network.
