Hayes, who earned an Emmy Award and four SAG Awards for Will & Grace, is also up for best leading actor Tony for his role in Promises, Promises, which co-stars Kristin Chenoweth.
The ceremony, which will take place at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, will air Sunday, June 13 at 8/7c on CBS.
