Scandal: Watch Season 6's Explosive First Footage
Many people are having a very bad day in the first teaser
Scandal's sixth season doesn't premiere until 2017, but the political thriller will give us an extended look at all the forthcoming drama with a trailer that's due to arrive Thursday, Nov. 3. To get us excited about that, series star Kerry Washington shared a teaser via Twitter of what's to come.
Even at just 10 seconds long, we see quite a bit going on: Olivia Pope (Washington) burying her head in the chest of Fitz (Tony Goldwyn); Abby (Darby Stanchfield) walking up on something that's clearly giving her the creeps; and Huck (Guillermo Diaz) and another almost getting their heads blown off from an exploding cabin in the woods. Whew! This premiere looks like it's going to have more drama than, well, the election.

Scandal's sixth season will premiere in 2017 on ABC.
