Guthrie's promotion came Friday, one day after Curry's tearful farewell. Guthrie, who's filled in for Curry before, co-hosted Friday's episode, but there was no on-air mention of her new position.Before her promotion, Guthrie was co-host of the 9 a.m. hour with Natalie Morales and Al Roker, a job she will continue to do for the foreseeable future.In addition to her hosting duties, Guthrie also serves as Today's chief legal analyst.
