Savannah Guthrie Gives Birth to Baby Girl

Savannah Guthrie is a mom!

The Today show co-host gave birth to a baby girl Wednesday, her first child with husband Michael Feldman. Vale Guthrie Feldman "has blue eyes, a little bit of blondish hair and the chubbiest cheeks you've ever seen," Guthrie, 42, told her colleagues at Today.

"I think we found heaven in this little hospital room in New York City," she added.

Today's Matt Lauer said he heard the news when his co-host sent him a photo of Vale's foot via text message. "Vale Guthrie Feldman is here!" he tweeted. "Savannah and Mike have a beautiful (and smart!) little girl! So much joy and excitement. We love her already!"

Guthrie tweeted: "My 3 am wake up call sounds a lot different now. Sweeter... "

"Every new parent must want to shout their happy news to the world. So lucky we got to do it on @TODAYshow! We are bursting with joy. #Vale," she added.

Guthrie and Feldman got married in March of this year, and she announced shortly afterwards that she was four months pregnant.
