Harris detected a lump in her right breast during a self-examination last fall. A few months later, she went to a breast cancer specialist and was diagnosed with breast cancer. The TV personality then made the choice to undergo a double mastectomy.

But during the procedure, doctors discovered that the cancer spread beyond Harris' breasts and they were forced to do further testing. "A few days later I got some good news. Thankfully, only one node was positive. Unfortunately, that usually means chemo," Harris explained.
