This Is Us star Sterling K. Brown made history at the Screen Actors Guild Awards Sunday.

By taking home the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series during the ceremony, Brown became the first black actor to win in that category. It's just the latest accolade for Brown, who has also won an Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award and an NCAAP Image Award for his performance on the NBC series.

"What a blessing it is to do what you love for a living. What an honor it is to be recognized by your peers for a job well done," he said during his speech. "This room is a source of endless inspiration for me. I love all of y'all. People call us weird and strange. The truth of the matter is, everybody is weird and strange and we just embrace ourselves for who we are."

Brown took home a second award later on, when This Is Us beat out The Crown, Game of Thrones, The Handmaid's Tale and Stranger Things to win the award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. It was NBC's first win in the category since The West Wing won 16 years ago.
