We can't wait to see this
UFC fighter Ronda Rousey is taking her skills to the big screen in a reboot of the 1989 cult classic film Road House, Variety reports.
Rousey will star in the role first played by Patrick Swayze, as a bouncer hired to clean up the wild and uncontrollable bar, The Double Deuce. Though a new challenge arises when he also needs to protect the town from a corrupt businessman.
Sources said that Rousey was interested in the idea of the remake, but wanted to be respectful of Swayze's memory and even reached out to his widow, Lisa Niemi, for her blessing.
Fall TV's fresh faces: 19 stars to watch
Road House would mark Rousey's first big acting role after a part in Furious 7, the Entourage movie and a small role in The Expendables 3, playing... a bouncer!
The project is currently set to begin production in 2016.
