Roger Ebert's new movie review TV show will premiere Jan. 21, the film critic announced.
Roger Ebert Presents At the Movies will air in 192 markets across the United States and worldwide in 175 countries via the Armed Forces Network, Ebert wrote in his Chicago Sun-Times journal.
Ebert, who lost his ability to speak after a battle with thyroid cancer, announced his TV return in September. The new show will feature contributors who will use Ebert's trademark "thumbs up/thumbs down" rating system he made famous on At the Movies, which ended earlier this year. Ebert, who communicates with post-it notes and a computer program that turns text into speech, will contribute regular segments as well.
Ebert's wife and the show's executive producer, Chaz Ebert, will announce the co-hosts and contributing critics for the new show next week.
