Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will not be charged with sexual assault, sources tell ESPN.

A 20-year-old woman in Georgia accused the two-time Super Bowl champion of sexually assaulting her on March 5 at a club in Milledgeville. Milledgeville police Chief Woodrow Blue said Wednesday that his department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation had concluded their investigation into the allegations, according to The Associated Press.

Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit District Attorney Fred Bright will make a formal announcement Monday regarding possible charges against Roethlisberger, 28. If charged, he would face jail time.

Roethlisberger's attorney, Ed Garland, has disputed the assault claim and hired his own team to investigate, the AP reports.

This is the second sexual-misconduct accusation against Roethlisberger in the last year, following a lawsuit filed last July by a woman who claims he raped her in 2008 at a Lake Tahoe hotel and casino. Roethlisberger has denied that claim and has not been criminally charged.

Roethlisberger did not report to Pittsburgh's off-season workouts last month, according to the AP. The 2004 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year has been with the Steelers for his entire NFL career.
