Rob Benedict will return to Supernatural this season, TVLine reports.
Benedict played Chuck Shurley, the author of the Supernatural books and God himself, in Seasons 4 and 5 of the CW drama. He recently made a cameo on the show's 200th episode during Season 10, and will return again in 20th episode of this season.

Supernatural's 11th season currently focuses on God's sister, The Darkness, so it makes sense that Chuck will finally return to (hopefully) help Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) out. But no matter his intentions, Chuck's return will likely have major consequences.
"[W]hen you bring God into the mix, either he destroys you or he doesn't," Padalecki previously told TVGuide.com when asked about Chuck's potential return.
