Riverdale is getting back in the groove with another musical episode. This time the Scooby gang is tackling Heathers with Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) taking center stage as Heather Chandler. The musical is based on the 1989 film starring Winona Ryder and Christian Slater about four girls named Heather who are the bitchiest girls in all of Ohio, until newcomer Veronica (Ryder) and her boyfriend decide to take deadly action to give the Heathers what they deserve.

"Last year, we had a blast doing Carrie. This year, we wanted to honor another iconic teen movie. Heathers: The Musical is BIG FUN, with great roles for the Riverdale kids," said executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa in a statement before teasing, "And everyone is singing..."

Yeah, you read that right. Jughead (Cole Sprouse) sat out all of the singing and dancing involved in Carrie: The Musical last season, but it looks like we'll be seeing that hamburger loving weirdo doing a step-ball-change before we die. Or at the very least, singing an emo anthem. However, he won't actually be in the stage production. You can check out Cheryl's co-stars in the poster below. Kevin (Casey Cott) will once again helm the musical as the student director.

*Please note that Archie (KJ Apa) will not only survive his bear attack, but be back in Riverdale in time to take the second male lead role in the play. It remains to be seen if he will be a werewolf (werebear?), though.

The musical episode will feature nine songs and air Wednesday, March 15 at 8/7c.

Riverdale continues Wednesdays at 8/7c on The CW.
