MTV's Video Music Awards was once known for stirring up drama (See: Kanye West interrupting Taylor Swift), but Thursday's installation was unfortunately tame, with highlights including Rebel Wilson in a bikini shirt, host Kevin Hart calling out people's mistakes (ahem, Kristen Stewart cheating on Robert Pattinson), the final Twilight sneak peek and VMAs princess Swift closing the show with "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" as the camera cut to ex Taylor Lautner in the audience.

Rihanna kicked off the night sporting a new 'do during her performance of "Cockiness (Love It)" followed by "We Found Love," which earned her the Video of the Year award. Pink came up next with "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)," followed by an emotional performance by Frank Ocean. One Direction, 2 Chainz, Green Day and Alicia Keys also hit the stage, with the latter joined by Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas.
