Netflix is getting in on the music competition game, and holy crap, cancel all your plans to watch its new show.
Executive-produced and hosted by global superstars Cardi B, Chance the Rapper, and Tip "T.I." Harris, the first-ever, solely hip-hop music competition TV show, Rhythm + Flow, will search for the country's next greatest hip-hop sensation. The first official teaser trailer for the series follows the search as Cardi B, Chance the Rapper, and T.I. visit Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, and Chicago in search of finding and fostering undiscovered talent. And in Cardi B's own words, "It's going to by litty like a f---ing titty."
The series won't be your average binge-watch though; Netflix has come up with a three-week release schedule for the 10 episodes. Rhythm + Flow will put out new episodes on Wednesdays starting Oct. 9, with four episodes dropping the first Wednesday and three episodes dropping the two Wednesdays after that. Check out the full schedule below.
Week 1: Wednesday, Oct. 9
The Auditions (Episodes 1-4)
Week 2: Wednesday, Oct. 16
Cyphers, Rap Battles & Music Videos (Episodes 5-7)
Week 3: Wednesday, Oct. 23
Samples, Collaborations & Finale (Episodes 8-10)
At this point, the exact rules and stages of the competition are unclear, but the trailer does seem to indicate that Cardi B, Chance the Rapper, and T.I. will serve as both talent scouts and the judges for the series. The description for Rhythm + Flow also promises to partner with "industry legends" in search of the next big thing, so you can probably expect some other hip-hop superstars to make an appearance at some point.
Rhythm + Flow premieres Wednesday, Oct. 9 on Netflix.
