He's coming out swinging this year
Ray Donovanis finally on its way back!
The 12-episode sixth season will premiere Sunday, Oct. 28 at 9/8c on Showtime, and the trailer that just dropped seems to indicate Ray (Liev Schreiber) didn't actually plunge to his death when he jumped off the roof at the end of Season 5. After being rescued from the East River by a cop named Mac (Domenick Lombardozzi), Ray immediately punches the guy -- so much for being a Good Samaritan -- and tries to wade back into the river. He obviously doesn't get that far, but that kind of feels like rock bottom for Ray.
When Season 6 of Ray Donovanpicks up, Ray will be rebuilding both his personal and professional lives in New York City -- more specifically, in the Staten Island Police Department thanks to his badge-wearing savior. Unfortunately, media mogul Sam Winslow (Susan Sarandon) will rope Ray back into working for her and that partnership will end up putting Ray at odds with his new friends out in Staten Island.
Who else thinks putting Ray at odds with the police is a very bad, no good idea?
