ABC took a jump up from its lead-ins at 9 o'clock with Modern Family (8.6 million viewers), but Cougar Town (6.8 million) hit a series low. Eastwick also fell to 4.6 million viewers.
On NBC, Mercy (6.6 million viewers), Law & Order: SVU (8 million) and The Jay Leno Show (4.7 million) were all down. The CW's America's Next Top Model (4 million) continued to make gains in the 18-to-49 demo, and a Vampire Diaries repeat earned 1.4 million viewers.
