Ratings: Voice on Top; New Girl, Mindy Grow; S.H.I.E.L.D. Drops Again

NBC topped Tuesday with The Voice, while Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. hit a new low.

The Voice drew 11.2 million viewers and a 3.3 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic for a two-hour episode, down three tenths from last week. Lead-in The Biggest Loser (6.6 million, 2.1) rose three tenths.

After a one-week hiatus, S.H.I.E.L.D. (7 million, 2.5) returned down two tenths to a new series low. The Goldbergs (5 million, 1.5) and Trophy Wife (3.8 million, 1.2) both dropped two tenths as well. In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: CMA Awards closed out ABC's night with 3.4 million and a 0.7.

25 unnecessary spin-offs

Fox's comedies had a good night.Dads (3.7 million, 1.4) and Brooklyn Nine-Nine (3.9 million, 1.6) both held steady from their last episodes before their baseball break, while New Girl (3.9 million, 2.0) and The Mindy Project (2.9 million, 1.5) returned up two tenths.On CBS, NCIS (19 million, 2.9) and NCIS: Los Angeles (14.6 million, 2.4) both dipped a bit, and Person of Interest (11.7 million, 1.9) was even.The CW's The Originals (2 million, 0.9) was flat and Supernatural (2.1 million, 0.9) dropped two tenths.
