Ratings: The Voice Boosts Go On, New Normal

NBC enjoyed its best Tuesday in months thanks to The Voice.

The singing competition series drew 12 million viewers and a 3.9 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic, making it the top-rated show of the night. That's down 19 percent from Monday's premiere, but up 22 percent from last spring's Tuesday debut.

The Voice expectedly boosted Go On (5.6 million, 2.1) and The New Normal (3.6 million, 1.4), which had been struggling throughout the winter without it. Go On surged 110 percent from last week, giving it its highest-rated episode since Dec. 4, while The New Normal grew 100 percent for its top-rated episode since Jan. 15. Smash (3.1 million, 1.0) also benefited, jumping three-tenths from last week's series low.CBS still won the night, led by NCIS (18.1 million, 3.1), which fell just a tenth. Part 2 of NCIS: Los Angeles's "Red" backdoor pilot (14.3 million, 2.6) and Golden Boy (8.1 million, 1.4) were down three-tenths.ABC's Splash (6.7 million, 1.6) was hardest hit by The Voice, falling a full point from last week's premiere. The first Dancing with the Stars results show (13.1 million, 2.3) was up 10 percent from last season's. Lead-out Body of Proof (9.6 million, 1.7) rose to a season-high.Fox's lineup was down across the board.8 p.m.
