Smallville's two-hour movie "Absolute Justice" brought in the series' absolute best ratings all season, grabbing 2.8 million viewers Friday. The ratings were not only Smallville's best all season; it was also the CW's best Friday showing since September 2008. "Absolute Justice" also brought in the series' highest numbers in the adults 18-to-49 demo, with a 1.2 rating.

However, CBS handily won the night once again. Ghost Whisperer attracted 8.77 million viewers and Medium brought in 9.10 million viewers. NUMB3RS led the night at 10/9c with 9.18 million viewers.
ABC came in second, with a new episode of Supernanny only watched by 5.39 million viewers and a new Shark Tank registering with only 4.66 million. Barbara Walters' exclusive interview with South Carolina first lady Jenny Sanford on 20/20 was seen by 8.66 million viewers, topping the night's other news magazine, NBC'sDateline, which nabbed 6.49 million viewers at 9/8c. In the same timeslot, the second new episode of Fox's Kitchen Nightmares gained from the show's series-low premiere last week with 4.13 million viewers, thanks to a strong House repeat at 8/7c at 3.85 million viewers.
