Ratings: Revenge Returns Steady; SVU Drops to Series Low

A seven-week hiatus didn't hurt Revenge much.

The ABC drama returned Wednesday to 7.58 million viewers and a 2.3 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic, on par with its last new episode on Feb. 29. That was enough to win the 10 o'clock hour for ABC against a CSI repeat and Law & Order: SVU (4.4 million, 1.5), which fell 12 percent to a series low in the demo.

Fox won the night with American Idol (16.5 million, 4.7), down slightly from last week. ABC placed second, on the strength of Revenge and Modern Family (10.06 million, 4.0), which dipped two-tenths to a season low from last week. In its second week, Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 (6.59 million, 2.6) fell 10 percent, while Suburgatory slipped to 5.8 million viewers and a 2.0.Survivor, CBS' only original broadcast for the night, matched last week's season low with 9.38 million viewers and a 2.7.On a night of declines, only NBC's Betty White's Off Their Rockers (6.2 million, 1.7) and Rock Center with Brian Williams (2.9 million, 0.7) enjoyed small bumps. Best Friends Forever (3.1 million, 0.9) was even.8 p.m.
