Ratings: NCIS, S.H.I.E.L.D. Fall; Supernatural Returns Strong

Looks like Ziva took some viewers with her.

NCIS' first Ziva-less episode Tuesday pulled in 17.9 million viewers and a 2.7 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic, dropping almost a full point from Cote de Pablo's farewell last week. A Voice recap show (10 million, 2.9) and Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (7.7 million, 2.8), which fell three tenths, both edged it out.
NBC topped the night, closing with Chicago Fire (7.6 million, 2.2), which fell four-tenths and won the hour over Person of Interest (11.7 million, 2.0), which tied a series low, and a Scandal rerun.

Supernatural (2.5 million, 1.2) returned strong, posting its most-watched premiere and best rating in three years. Premiering in its regular timeslot, The Originals (1.9 million, 0.9) was down a tenth from its series launch on Thursday, but improved on Hart of Dixie's numbers last year. The dramas combined to give The CW its best Tuesday in two years.Elsewhere on ABC, The Goldbergs (5.7 million, 2.0) slipped two tenths, while Trophy Wife (4.7 million, 1.4) was flat. Both were soundly beaten byNCIS: Los Angeles (14.8 million, 2.6), which was down a tenth.On Fox, Brooklyn Nine-Nine (3.4 million, 1.5) and New Girl (4 million, 2.1) both inched up. Dads (3.1 million, 1.3) held steady and  The Mindy Project (3 million, 1.4) fell a tenth.8 p.m.
