Ratings: Idol Rises; How to Live with Your Parents Falls

American Idol topped Wednesday, growing for the first time in more than a month.

The two-hour performance show averaged 12 million viewers and a 3.2 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic, up a tenth from last week.

After a solid start last week, ABC's How to Live with Your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life) (7.3 million, 2.5) fell four-tenths, identical to Modern Family's drop (10.2 million, 3.8). Lead-ins The Middle (7.4 million, 2.0) and Suburgatory (5.5 million, 1.7) were flat and down, respectively, and lead-out Nashville (6 million, 1.8) rose a tenth.On CBS, Survivor (9.2 million, 2.4) tied a series low, while Criminal Minds (11.3 million, 3.0) and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (10.9 million, 2.4) inched up.8 p.m.
