Ratings: Gossip Girl Heats Up to All-Time High

This Monday's ratings offered good news for the CW, and... well, not-so-terrific news for most everyone else.Deal or No Deal of course topped the 8 o'clock hour with 8.76 million total viewers, though that marks an all-time Monday low for the series. Fox's Terminator tied Howie in the demos, but with an audience of 5.49 mil dropped 13 percent from its season opener. Gossip Girl, meanwhile, surged 18 percent in its third saucy week, to hit an all-time high of 3.73 mil viewers. At 9 pm, Prison Break placed third behind ABC's Batman Begins broadcast and CBS' comedy repeats, delivering 5.89 million viewers. That represents a dip of another 600K week-to-week, and quite possibly a series low. On NBC, America's Toughest Jobs (4.94 mil) had a tough time, dropping 23 percent of its previous audience. The CW's One Tree Hill enjoyed a second straight week of increased viewership, hitting 3.35 mil and netting some of its best demos in almost two years. — Matt Mitovich
