ABC's new comedies did just fine without Agent Coulson.

Following a repeat of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Goldbergs drew 5.4 million viewers and a 1.7 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic Tuesday, staying flat with last week, while Trophy Wife (4.3 million, 1.4) improved two tenths. Both shows were likely helped by going up against a special X Factor (4.8 million, 1.5), which plummeted 25 percent from its last new episode nearly three weeks ago, instead of Fox's usual Tuesday comedies.
