Ratings: Dana Delany’s Body of Proof Is Season’s Second Most-Watched Debut

Body of Proof  proved itself to be a winner, becoming the second most-watched premiere of the 2010-11 network TV season. It also was ABC's biggest midseason premiere of a drama in four years, and more than doubled the network's usual performance in the time slot.

Only the reboot of Hawaii Five-0 did better than Dana Delany's new show, which debuted to 13.85 million viewers, knocking off the time slot's usual winner, The Good Wife, which fell to 9.99 million viewers. Parenthood managed 4.77 million over on NBC.

In prime time's first hour, NCISnabbed 18.26 million viewers, the recap of ABC's Dancing With the Stars lured 11.74 million, while The Biggest Loser: Couples drew 6.76 million against a rerun of Gleeon Fox (4.41 million)and an original episode of the CW's One Tree Hill (815,000).

At 9/8c, the Dancing results program — which eliminated its first contestant — got the largest audience of the night (18.81 million). NCIS: Los Angeles  (15.21 million viewers), Loser's second hour (7.49 million), a Raising Hopererun (3.60 million) andfreshTraffic Light(2.60 million) on Fox, and Hellcatsrerun(704,000) on the CW followed.

On cable, BET's The Game averaged 4.4 million people for its comeback Season 4 finale.
