Preliminary Nielsen showed that The Lost Valentine won its time period (9-11 p.m. Eastern) in total viewers — 14.53 million — while finishing second in the 18-to-49-year-old demographic with a 2.3 rating.

Boardwalk Empire, The King's Speech top SAG awards

The movie, starring Jennifer Love Hewitt and co-starring the 89-year-old White, who won SAG's TV-comedy actress prize, even beat football, which has been a powerhouse for NBC during the first half of the TV season. The AFC/NFC Pro Bowl on Fox got more than 10 million viewers during the hour that the game and movie competed. The game averaged 12.35 million viewers (4.4 rating in the demo).

The game, however, outpaced its competition in the two hours before the made-for-TV movie started, and it was the highest-rated since 2000.
