Could Aussie actress Rachael Taylor be Alex Karev's new squeeze? The Transformers star joins Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Lucy Fields, who according to reports will play a major character's obstetrician (Callie's, perhaps?). But at the G'Day USA Black Tie Gala on January 22, Taylor told TV Guide Magazine she's also got a lot of scenes with the resident bad boy of Seattle Grace.

"I'm working with Justin Chambers a lot," says Taylor. "Justin's hilarious. He has a wicked sense of humor." In fact, Taylor's been pleasantly surprised over the warm welcome she's received on the ABC medical drama. "I wasn't sure what to expect from the cast, but they can't have been more gracious or welcoming," she tells us. "Ellen Pompeo is like the sweetest woman in the world — she's so delightful. Patrick is a gentleman. They've all been wonderful. And it's really impressive as well that seven years on they show up, know their lines, put in great performances and also have the energy to welcome a newbie like me. I didn't expect it."

As far as a romantic connection on the show, Taylor plays coy, saying she gets her scripts a week before she shoots. "I don't know. There's been no steam yet, I don't think..." Taylor teases. "Depends what you call steam."
