Psych: The Movie is officially getting a sequel — and it looks like Shawn (James Roday) and Gus (Dulé Hill) had better slice up another pineapple for the road.

USA Network announced on Thursday that everyone's favorite fake psychic will return for another round of obscure pop culture references, high-pitched screams and questionable aliases. Even better — this time, Lassiter (Tim Omundson) is back at the center of the action. Omundson made a cameo appearance in the first Psych movie in 2017 while recovering from a stroke he'd suffered prior to the movie's production.

The official logline for Psych: The Movie 2 teases that after Lassiter is ambushed on the job and left for dead, he begins seeing impossible things happening around his recovery clinic in what is described as a "vintage Psych-style Hitchcockian nod." When Shawn and Gus return to Lassie's side — yes, it's time for Vancouver to do its best Santa Barbara impression again — they'll have to confront what might be supernatural happenings. The logline also teases that our heroes "find themselves unwelcome in their old stomping grounds as they secretly untangle a twisted case without the benefit of the police, their loved ones or the quality sourdough bakeries of the Bay Area. What they uncover will change the course of their relationships forever."

The film will be directed by series creator Steve Franks, who co-wrote the film with Roday and Andy Berman. Franks, Roday and Hill executive-produce along with Chris Henze.

Psych originally aired on USA Network from 2006-2014. In 2017, the cast reunited for Psych: The Movie, which moved the action to San Francisco as an old foe with a grudge returned to stir up trouble.

Production on Psych: The Movie 2 is scheduled to begin this March in Vancouver.
