Producers Guild Awards: Gravity, 12 Years a Slave Tie for Best Picture

The Producers Guild Awards made history Sunday night, with the Best Picture race ending in a tie for the first time in the event's 25-year history. The teams behind Gravity and 12 Years a Slave both picked up the night's top prize for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures.

The Producers Guild Awards made history Sunday night, with the Best Picture race ending in a tie for the first time in the event's 25-year history. The teams behind Gravity and 12 Years a Slave both picked up the night's top prize for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures.

Accepting the award for Gravity was Alfonso Cuaron, who also directed the film, while Brad Pitt and director Steve McQueen spoke about 12 Years a Slave.

SAG Awards: Who took home the top prizes?

Modern Family and Breaking Bad followed up their SAG Awards victories by taking the top prizes for TV Comedy and Drama, respectively.

Frozen won the award for Outstanding Producer of Animated Theatrical Motion Pictures, and Behind the Candelabra won for Long-Form Television.

After Sunday's results, Gravity12 Years a Slave and American Hustle are all considered Oscar frontrunners.
