It's official: Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists won't return for Season 2. TV Guide has learned that the Pretty Little Liarsspin-off is canceled.

The Perfectionists brought PLL fan-favorite characters Mona (Janel Parrish) and Alison (Sasha Pieterse) to Beacon Heights University, where they became mentors to a trio of students -- Dylan (Eli Brown), Caitlin (Sydney Park), and Ava (Sofia Carson) -- who were being cyber-stalked and bullied similar to how Mona and Alison were in high school. The Season 1 finale ended with a big cliffhanger that named the group's stalker The Professor.

With the series canceled, fans will never find out who The Professor actually was or who was behind the murder of Nolan Hotchkiss (Chris Mason). The announcement comes after The Walking Dead revealed that Sydney Park will return for Season 10, and months after The Perfectionists wrapped up Season 1 in May.

Hours before the news broke, Parrish posted a cryptic Instagram photo of herself in Hawaii with the caption, "Onward and upward." Park commented with a "Yup" and several heart emojis.
