Peter Facinelli Has Joined Supergirl -- But Will He Be Good or Evil?

On Saturday night, Warner Brothers and DC Comics showed off their slate of CW programming at Comic-Con. The last panel was for Supergirl, which premieres this fall.

The producers revealed Melissa Benoist was actually the first Supergirl contender they looked at.

After discussing the importance of women in front of and behind the camera, they announced a couple of villains who will be on the show this fall: Reactron and Live Wire.

Oh, and one more person: Maxwell Lord. He's a tech mogul who's fascinated by Supergirl in the comic series.

"Will he be good or evil?" the moderator asked. "He can be both."

"Why don't we ask him?" one of the producers responded.

And out walked... Peter Facinelli!

He said it was his first Comic-Con since the Twilightdays and he was thrilled to be joining the cast.

Supergirl will premiere on Oct. 26 at 8:30/7:30c on CBS.
