Twilight and House Top 2010 People's Choice Awards

The Twilight film series, TV drama House and actress Sandra Bullock topped the People's Choice Awards at Wednesday's night ceremony.

Hosted by Queen Latifah, the show honored fan favorites in TV, movies, music and other areas of pop culture.

At Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre, The Twilight sagawon favorite movie, favorite franchise, favorite on-screen team and favorite breakout actor for Taylor Lautner. Other top winners included Bullock, who won favorite movie actress for her roles in the 2009 box office hits The Proposal and The Blind Side. The Proposal won favorite movie comedy. House nabbed two prizes, for favorite TV drama and favorite TV drama actor for Hugh Laurie.

Also in the drama department, Grey's Anatomy's Katherine Heigl won favorite TV drama actress and The Vampire Diaries put its teeth into favorite new TV drama.

On the lighter side of the small screen, The Big Bang Theory was named favorite TV comedy and Glee sang its way to favorite new comedy. Steve Carell won favorite TV comedy actor for The Office and How I Met Your Mother'sAlyson Hannigan took home the award for favorite TV comedy actress. Supernatural was voted favorite sci-fi/fantasy TV show. Another sci-fi favorite, True Blood, was voted favorite TV obsession.

In the reality world, American Idol was named favorite TV competition The Ellen DeGeneres Show won favorite TV talk show. The Dog Whisperer was crowned favorite animal show.

On the movie side, Johnny Depp was crowned favorite male star as well as favorite movie actor of the decade. Hugh Jackman snatched up the award for favorite action star and Jim Carrey won favorite comedy star. Miley Cyrus was named favorite breakout movie actress. Quentin Tarantino's World War II film Inglourious Basterds was honored with favorite independent movie.

As for the music winners, it was all about the divas at Wednesday's ceremony. Lady Gaga won favorite pop artist and favorite breakout music artist. Carrie Underwood won favorite country artist and Mariah Carey was voted favorite R&B artist. Keith Urban was awarded favorite male artist while Taylor Swift was named favorite female artist. Eminem nabbed favorite hip-hop artist and "Run This Town" helped Jay-Z, Kanye West and Rihanna take home best collaboration.

Not surprisingly, Twitter fanatic Ashton Kutcher rounded out the honorees list, winning No. 1 web celeb.
