As new Daily Show host Trevor Noah finds himself on the receiving end of harsh backlash thanks to a series of offensive tweets, he's receiving a lesson in "comedy in 2015" from Patton Oswalt.

In a series of 53 tweets, Oswalt hammered home the point that not everyone takes offense at the same things, while implying that maybe the PC reaction to jokes has gotten a little out of hand.

After his rant, Oswalt retweeted comedian Neal Brennan, who wrote: "Imagine how much funnier Richard Pryor would have been if he'd had think pieces and blogs to guide him."
