The West Wingmeets Parks and Recreation!

Bradley Whitford has signed on to guest-star in an upcoming episode of the NBC comedy that will pay homage to the Emmy-winning presidential series, according to HuffingtonPost.com.

Whitford, who portrayed Deputy Chief of Staff Josh Lyman on The West Wing, will play the Pawnee City Councilman whose position both Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) and Bobby Newport (Paul Rudd), among others, are running for.

The episode will include several homages to West Wing, and even the title of the episode, "Live Ammo," is inspired by a line in one of Wing's episodes. Unfortunately, West Wing co-stars Rob Lowe and Whitford won't reunite on-screen during the episode.

Whitford's episode is slated to air in March. Parks and Recreation airs Thursdays at 8:30/7:30c on NBC.
