This is literally the best news we've heard all day (yes, even compared to this.)
Rob Lowe and Rashida Jones will return to Parks and Recreation's upcoming seventh and final season, TVLine reports.
The 18 most genius performances that Mike Nichols directed
Lowe and Jones, aka Chris Traeger and Ann Perkins, will appear in one episode of the upcoming season, for which a premiere date has not yet been announced. The duo left in the middle of Season 6 when their characters decided to move to Michigan to be closer to her family ahead of the arrival of their son, Oliver.
The two join other beloved Parks recurring actors set to return for a final farewell, including Megan Mullally and Natalie Morales.
Since leaving Pawnee, Jones has appeared on Key and Peele and Web Therapy, and will star on the TBS sitcom Angie Tribeca premiering next year. Lowe most recently appeared in Sex Tape.
