Cree, whose credits include The Awakening and Brave, will play Ian Murray, Jenny's (Laura Donnelly) husband and Jamie's best friend since childhood. Ian lost part of his leg during a battle with the English, but hasn't let that hold him back in his life. He is very close to his wife and best friend and welcomes Claire into the family.

What do you think of Cree's casting as Ian? Is this how you pictured him?

Outlander will premiere this summer on Starz.
