Dascha Polanco, the Orange Is the New Black actress who appeared in court earlier this month (on her birthday!) to answer to assault charges, said in an interview with HuffPost Live she is not worried about her case. Accused of assaulting a 17-year-old inside her home this summer, she faces up to a year in prison if convicted.

Her interview was actually intended to discuss her role as Jennifer Lawrence's best friend in the film Joy, but a fan phoned in and asked Polanco if she thought the situation would impact her work.

"No," Polanco said softly, before pausing to take a sip of coffee in a way reminiscent of "sips tea" meme that indicates you are not at all bothered. "Listen, I lost the biggest thing in my life, my mother. Nobody's gonna knock me down." Polanco's attorney, Gerald Lefcourt, maintains that the alleged assault is a setup to extort money.

"People that know me and know my quality, my professionalism, who I am [...] They're not worried. And neither am I." OK then!
