One Tree Hill fans have a special gift to unwrap this holiday season: Alums Hilarie Burton, Robert Buckley, Danneel Ackles, Antwon Tanner and Tyler Hilton are reuniting in the Lifetime holiday flick The Christmas Contract.
Burton will play Jolie, a woman who dreads running into her ex and his new beau while visiting home for the holidays. To prove that she's totally over him, she enlists Jack (Buckley), the flakey brother of her bestie Naomi (Ackles) — who is married to Tanner's character — to pretend to be her boyfriend. The film will also include a special musical appearance from Hilton.
Meanwhile, on Nov. 23, Bethany Joy Lenz will star in Poinsettias for Christmas, about a woman who returns home to help her dad with the family business and inevitably falls fall in love. Plus, Stephen Colletti will star in Hometown Christmas, which airs Sunday, Dec. 16.
It's all part of the network's "It's a Wonderful Lifetime" lineup which offers up enough Christmas movies to get you into the into the holiday spirit. The special, which is hosted by Paul Johansson, will air Nov. 22 at 10/9c immediately following the premiere of The Christmas Contract at 8/7c.
Ahead of the big reunion special, we hit up the cast to chat about which of One Tree's Hill memorable storylines they loved the most as well as which of their former co-stars they'd like to join forces with for another Christmas flick. If this charming conversation doesn't inspire to go revisit the whole series on Hulu, we don't know what will.
