Which Once Upon A Time Reunions To Expect in the Series Finale

And which one you shouldn't hold your breath for

Once Upon a Time may be coming to a close soon, but it's not going to let the final curtain fall without reuniting you with some of your favorite characters, including Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison), Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin), Prince Charming (Josh Dallas), Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) and so many others!

The real question here, though, is which characters (old and new) will reunite with each other before the series finale next week?

"I think that there is, amongst the new characters and the legacy characters, some fun interactions because of the different levels of generations," says executive producer Adam Horowitz of the epic series finale. "You have children of characters and grandparents and grandchildren. The crazy Once Upon a Time family kind of comes colliding together."

This means that fans can definitely expect some of their original faves to come back together, so get ready for some heartwarming nostalgia. Goodwin and Dallas assure us that they share their scenes "almost exclusively with [their] old school Once Upon a Time counterparts," so start guessing as to who that might include.

Meanwhile, there is one major Charming meet-up we do know is happening: Emma and Ella (Dania Ramirez)!

Here's when Once Upon a Time, The Middle and More Will End

Ramirez is keeping her lips sealed about how Emma and Ella's meeting will play out, but she did preview a big Charming Family team-up coming in the series finale. "It's just really exciting, not only for me, but as the character Cinderella, that I finally get to meet my mother-in-law and finally get to fight with these people for the better cause of the entire realm."

Executive producer Eddy Kitsis also confirmed to TV Guide that audience will see the child Emma was pregnant with when we last saw her (cue Captain Swan squealing) at the beginning of Season 7. We can only cross our fingers that adult Henry (Andrew J. West) will get to hang out with his new little brother or sister before his chapter of the story ends!

Unfortunately, one reunion we definitely won't get to see is between the two Robins. Robin Hood may be making his return, but the jam-packed series finale didn't quite have enough time to introduce him to his kind-of daughter Robin (Tiera Skovbye). "When I initially had heard that he was going to be in the final episode, I was like, 'I get to meet my dad!'" Skovbye says. "And then it didn't quite pan out that way, which is sad. But I feel like it's one of those shows where you leave a lot up to the imagination, especially the way we did tie it up, and they'll meet in whatever world that they do."

Don't be so sad for Robin Hood just yet though! Lana Parrilla says the the scene between her character, Regina, and Robin Hood was one of her favorites to shoot for this finale. "It's pretty special, and it was really fun to film. I love Sean Maguire, we get along well... and having him back for this scene that we end up doing, it just felt like he'd never left," Parrilla says.

And finally, the question of the hour: Will Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) reunite with Belle (Emilie de Ravin) in the after life? Obviously you'll have to tune in to find that one out, but Horowitz and Kitsis did promise Rumbelle's happily ever after would play an important role in Once Upon a Time's final hour.

"I'd say it's a big part of the story in the finale because it's been driving Rumple all year, and now he's going to reach some really difficult decisions based on what he's trying to do to get back to her," teases Horowitz.

Once Upon a Time's series finale airs Friday, May 18 at 8/7c on ABC.
