Once Upon a Time: Emma and Hook Take the Next Step!

See what Morrison said about the big decision

Spoilers from the most recent Once Upon a Time beyond this point.

It finally happened! On Sunday's Once Upon a Time, Emma (Jennifer Morrison) finally asked Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) those words he has been dying to hear: Will you move in with me?

So what prompted this change of heart? The visions of her impending death had been putting a major damper on Emma's mood (as knowledge of your own murder is wont to do), but thanks in part to a pep talk from Archie (Raphael Sbarge), Emma realized that it's not how her story ends; it's how she lives it.

That means that although Emma's magic is failing, the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) is set on destroying her life's purpose. The Savior realizes she likely doesn't have long to live, so she is ready to seize the day and stop wasting time being bitter at her prophesied death. Instead of sitting around feeling guilty that she can't give Hook the future they both want, Emma could be sitting around making out with Hook in their shared home! And at the end of the day, we all know which option we would choose.

But just because the couple decided to take the next step doesn't mean it will be completely smooth sailing from here on out.

"A lot of times on television when you have two characters that come together, they try to find ways to keep them apart all the time. And on this show, they've actually let these characters be together," Morrison said after an advance screening of Sunday's episode at New York Comic-Con on Friday.

"They're exploring the intricacies of it and the nuances of it, now eventually them living in the same house, and what does that mean? The daily ins and outs of those things, and how does Henry (Jared Gilmore) fit into that? And Emma has a secret, and what does Hook do about it when he finds out? And if Hook has a secret, then what does he do?" the actress teased.

And even beyond the bigger picture issues Hook and Emma are currently facing, the couple will also have to navigate all the problems that arise when any two people decide to live together. "They're now, with Hook moving in, going to share the DVR list together," co-creator Edward Kitsis joked.

But after everything Emma and Hook have been through, we know they can weather any storm --
even if he does occasionally delete one of her shows from the DVR.

Are you excited Emma and Hook are finally moving in together?

Once Upon a Time airs Sundays at 9/8c on ABC.
