Simpson was convicted of armed robbery, kidnapping, burglary and assault with a deadly weapon and sentenced to nine to 33 years in 2008 as a result of the incident. He'll serve at least four more years in prison as a result of consecutive sentences that were handed down, according to the AP.

Last week, Simpson entered a plea for parole in front of a two-person parole panel, saying he regretted his actions, has made amends with the memorabilia dealers, and has tried to be a "model inmate," the AP reports.
