Tyler Posey is heading to Starz.
The Teen Wolf star is the latest addition to the premium network's "surreal" comedy Now Apocalypse. The series is described as a coming-of-age story centered on Ulysses (Avan Jogia) and his friends "who are on various quests pursing love, sex and fame," according to Variety. Ulysses starts to become paranoid that he's in the middle of a conspiracy thanks to his dream-like premonitions that he can't be sure aren't a product of too much weed. Right on, man.
Posey joins the cast as Gabriel, an "incredibly charismatic and mysterious guy" that gets matched with Ulysses on a dating app. By the time they reach their first date, they can "hardly contain themselves." Translation: Danny from Twisted and Scott McCall are going to be thing. This is what Tumblr dreams are made of and it is a beautiful thing.
The rest of the cast is rounded out by Kelli Berglund, Roxane Mesquida and Beau Mirchoff (which explains why he wasn't on the cast list for The Fosters spin-off) as Ulysses' friends. Starz has ordered a 10-episode first season of the series, which is currently in pre-production according to IMDB. That means you can probably expect Now Apocalypse to arrive in early 2019.
