A six-foot-long snake bit a backup dancer for rapper Nicki Minaj Friday during a rehearsal for the MTV Video Music Awards, MTV.com reports.
Minaj was onstage rehearsing her hit single "Anaconda" (naturally) when the female dancer was bitten on the inside of her arm by a non-venomous boa constrictor named Rocky, a 15-year veteran of the entertainment industry.

The dancer was immediately treated on-site by a medic, and was then taken to a nearby hospital, according to Chris Velvin, director of production safety for Viacom Media Networks.
"It is in no way life-threatening, but scary," Velvin said. "We wanted her to start getting treatment as soon as possible."
The snake's handler said Rocky had never bitten anyone before. MTV plans to use a different snake for the performance at the VMAs, which air Sunday at 9/8c.
