Netflix Is Making an Animated Jurassic World Series, and We Need Cartoon Jeff Goldblum

Are you ready to go back to Isla Nublar again? Because there's never going to be such a thing as too much Jurassic Park, Netflix has announced a brand new animated series set in the world of the doomed dinosaur sanctuary. This series also focuses on a bunch of kids, so please let them survive all of the prehistoric chaos.

The show, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, is set during the same timeline as 2015's Jurassic World (because remember -- and spoiler alert for a movie that came out in 2015 -- the island is destroyed by the end of the movie, and destroyed even further and completely uninhabitable by the time we make it to 2018's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom). While no voice cast has been announced so far, we can probably start holding our breath for Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard -- or, at the very least, their characters -- to show up somehow.

According to Netflix, Camp Cretaceous "follows a group of six teenagers chosen for a once-in-a-lifetime experience at a new adventure camp on the opposite side of Isla Nublar. But when dinosaurs wreak havoc across the island, the campers are stranded. Unable to reach the outside world, they'll need to go from strangers to friends to family if they're going to survive."

Netflix also released a quick teaser for the series, and it features a raptor that is maybe Blue, maybe not Blue, but it's probably Blue.

Scott Kreamer and Lane Lueras will serve as showrunners and executive producers, and the series will be executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, and Colin Trevorrow. It's expected to hit the streaming service sometime in 2020.
